This policy covers the oltek.no website and the applications published by Oltek AS for Garmin and Apple Watch. The two are described separately below, because they work very differently: the website processes some personal data, the apps process none.

Oltek AS processes personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Norwegian data protection legislation.

1. The apps

This section applies to:

HRV Breathing for Apple Watch
HRV Breathing for Garmin watches (Connect IQ)
Kids Breathing for Garmin watches (Connect IQ)

1.1 We do not collect your data

Neither app collects, transmits, or stores personal data on our systems. We do not operate a server, a database, or an account system for these apps, and we have no technical means of identifying an individual user.

Specifically:

There is no account and no sign-in. You never give us a name, an email address, or any other identifier.
The apps contain no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party analytics SDKs, and no library that sends data to any external service.
The apps do not send session data, breathing data, heart-rate data, or device identifiers to Oltek AS.

1.2 What happens on the watch

The apps run entirely on the watch. Breathing sessions are paced locally, and any sensor readings used during a session are read from the watch’s own sensors and processed on the device.

Garmin: when a session is saved, it is written to the watch as an activity and syncs to your own Garmin Connect account through Garmin’s sync process. That data belongs to you and sits under Garmin’s privacy policy, not ours. We have no access to it.
Apple Watch: when a session is saved, it is written to Apple Health on your own device. That data stays under your control and under Apple’s privacy terms. We have no access to it.

If you delete an app, any data it stored on the watch is removed with it. Data already synced to Garmin Connect or Apple Health is managed by you in those services.

1.3 Purchases

The apps are sold through the Apple App Store and the Garmin Connect IQ Store. Payment is handled entirely by Apple and by Garmin under their own terms. We never see or receive your payment card details, billing address, or account information.

1.4 Statistics we receive from the stores

Apple and Garmin provide us with aggregated, anonymised reporting about the apps — for example the number of installs, which watch models the apps are running on, and territory-level sales totals. This information reaches us in aggregate form only. It does not identify individual users, and we cannot link it to a person.

1.5 If you contact us for support

If you email us about an app, we process that correspondence as described in section 2 below.

1.6 Children

The Kids Breathing app collects no data of any kind. It runs on the family’s own watch, and no information about the child or about how the app is used is sent to us.

2. The website

2.1 Personal data processed

We do not process health data or other special categories of personal data through this website.

2.2 Purpose of processing

2.3 Legal basis

GDPR Article 6(1)(b) — processing necessary to respond to enquiries prior to entering into a contract
GDPR Article 6(1)(f) — legitimate interest in communicating with individuals who contact us

2.4 Storage and deletion

Personal data is stored only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Enquiries that do not lead to a client relationship are deleted within a reasonable period of time.

2.5 Disclosure of information

We do not sell personal data and do not share it for marketing purposes. Data may be disclosed to service providers where necessary for the operation of the website — for example web hosting or email service providers — under appropriate data processing agreements.

2.6 Cookies, analytics and server logs

We do not use web analytics, advertising networks, or tracking on oltek.no. The site loads no third-party scripts, fonts, pixels or embeds — every resource is served from our own domain.

The site sets one functional cookie, pll_language, which records which language version of the site you are viewing so that your choice is remembered between pages. It contains no personal data and is not used for analysis or tracking.

As with any website, our hosting provider records standard server logs, which may include IP addresses, for security and for the technical operation of the site. These logs are not used to build profiles of visitors and are retained only for as long as needed for those purposes.

3. International users

The website and the apps are operated from Norway. If you use them from outside Norway, your personal data will be processed in accordance with Norwegian and EU data protection law.

4. Your rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data processed about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of personal data
Object to, or request restriction of, processing

You also have the right to file a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).

5. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
